Further our partnerships within the community a. Foster inter-generational initiatives b. Reach out to area youth c. Improve outreach to local neighborhoods and businesses d. Utilize effective communication and social media e. Develop a clear message and vision that benefits our constituents
Promote capacity building opportunities throughout the community a. Provide professional development opportunities for neighborhood leaders b. Offer workshops, symposiums and a catalog of opportunities c. Help with fundraising ideas and projects d. Survey neighborhoods and find out what they want e. Help Neighborhood Associations become more self reliant
Build a sense of community throughout Ward 3 a. Organize and promote activities that involve people and businesses b. Help neighborhoods mentor each other c. Make W3NA more fun d. Create “something” where people want to be a part and are willing to get involved e. Help host community “block” parties f. Build trust and transparency
Promote, coordinate and participate in community projects a. Help to coordinate specific projects for collaboration such as: i. Community clean ups ii. Graffiti removal iii. Community restorations iv. Community concerns b. Get involved and collaborate with other organizations in Ward 3 c. Provide help with financial planning and grant writing d. Develop a model program to build neighborhood resilience e. Address changing climate/issues with effective actions to protect and reduce risks f. Offer specific and useful tools to build neighborhood cohesiveness
